The coast of Manazuru

A place with Shinto spirit

The coast of Manazuru is one of a kind. There is a Bus from the Station to this place, but if you have time try to walk the distance, it needs about 1h if you take your time and walk through the small alleys of the village. The last part of the path you have to walk beside the Street, as there are no walking trails anymore. A a few hundred meters before reaching the point, there is a small hidden trail into the woods on the right side of the street, you need Hiking shoes and long pants, as you have to be caution of snakes there. If you walk the path down until you reach the Ocean, you get a one of a kind view:

If you walk the path down until you reach the Ocean, you get a magnificent panoramic view. The legendary "Mitsuishi" rocks near the coast are a result of an volcanic eruption under the sea about 130,000-230,000 years ago.

There is another hidden Trail to an abandoned house right under the street. It has one great graffiti which is worth to see with your own eyes. One interesting part of the village are the small streets and stairs on the hill. The buildings remember a bit on the small streets from another country, but the hillside is worth the walk through. Sometimes you can see that they sell fresh fish in front of the store.
