Meet a Japanese Shinto priest and learn more about the Japanese "way of believing". Understand the connection between faith, kindness and respect of Japanese society and get an unique look inside a Shinto Shrine. With this Shrine tour you can attend at a formal ceremony called "Seishiki-Sanpai". Listen to the prayer of the priest and get the chance of making an offering with a sacred branch of a tree.

1. Meet us at the Shrine office of the Hotoku Ninomiya Shrine in Odawara

2. Clean your hands before entering the halls

3. Listen to the explanations of a Shinto priest and learn more about his faith and life at the Shrine and get the chance to ask him questions directly.

4. Learn how to use a sacred branch of tree called "Tamagushi" as a tool at Shinto ceremonies.

5. Listen to the sound of drums and be part of a real Shinto prayer.

6. Enjoy the taste of Japanese Sake and learn why they use it at the end of the prayers.

7. Get a small present from the Shrine staff to take home with you

8. Take a picture with one of the priests as a memorable souvenir
